Nichole brings over 13 years of experience to Cocoon. Her practice is rooted in precision cutting and advanced color correction. Nichole takes a thoughtful and intentional collaborative approach to hair design, helping clients to determine their hair identity.
She is new to Minneapolis and back in the industry after a seven-year hiatus. During those years, she attended graduate school at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville where she acquired a MFA in Painting & Drawing and has spent the last four years as a Professor of Studio Art & Design. Her artistic training has enhanced her ability to see shape, texture, and color in a way that elevates her work behind the chair.
Her time away reaffirmed a deep commitment to hair design and the meaningful connections it fosters. Skilled in working across a range of hair textures, Nichole collaborates closely with each client to craft a style that is both low-maintenance and enduring. Whether you’re seeking a subtle refresh or a transformative cut and color, she approaches each session as a creative partnership—always tailored, never rushed.
When not at Cocoon, you’ll find Nichole on the tennis court, cycling through the cities, sleuthing museums for inspiration, or hosting gatherings for friends & family.
